The Top 10 Elearning Influencers

I have recently found a great new tool called BuzzSumo which allows you to track what is being shared across the major social media platforms by topic and the top influencers.

I was interested to see the top influencers in elearning based on their social media presence. At the time of writing on 11 November 2013 the top ten influencers were as follows.

It is great to see my colleague Cammy Bean in second place for all the work she does to promote and share good practice. It is also good to see Articulate in spots 3, 4 and 5. Dave, Tom and the team are some of the most active promoters of good practice in elearning design and development. Their Articulate community is simply one of the best elearning communities.

Tony Karrer is on twice in both in his own capacity and as Elearning Learning, a popular aggregation site showcasing the latest elearning articles.

I am pleased to see Cathy Moore on the list as one the of best learning designers I know. I am currently in Australia and Cathy is down here running a master class.

It is also good to see the UK's Elearning Network on the list as I really appreciate the work they do to promote and share best practice in the UK.

Finally, a big shout out to Brent Schlenker, who consistently shares new ideas and challenges conventional thinking on elearning.

If you are not following these people on Twitter or Google Plus, what are you waiting for?
